Abstract: 【Abstract】Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients are usually present with decreased physical abilities and abnormal psychological and cognitive functions of various degrees along with the extension of dialysis age, seriously affecting the quality of life and greatly raising the burdens on the families and society. The implementation of the renal rehabilitation system is a major strategy to minimize the dysfunctions and enables MHD patients to achieve the best occupational potentials, functional status and quality of life. However, the renal rehabilitation system set in hemodialysis centers is currently at the primary stage and has not been widely launched yet. This expert consensus elaborates on the definition of renal rehabilitation and the required personnel,
place, equipment, service content and quality control, providing a theoretical basis and a clinical guidance for the creation of renal rehabilitation system in hemodialysis centers.
