Abstract: Many biological factors are involved in the occurrence and development of chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorder (CKD-MBD). In addition to the classic parathyroid hormone (PTH)/vitamin D axis theory, recent studies have found that fibroblast growth factor 23, FGF23/Klotho, dentin matrix protein 1 (DMP1), secretory protein DicKKOPF-1 (DKK1) and sclerostin are also directly or indirectly involved in the progression of CKD-MBD. This paper reviews the latest research on these factors.

Key words: Chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorder; , Fibroblast growth factor 23/Klotho, DKK1, Sclerostin, Dentin matrix protein1
