Abstract: Central venous obstruction (CVO) is a common complication in hemodialysis patients. CVO can lead to the increase of intracranial venous pressure and obstruction of cerebrospinal fluid reflux and absorption that result in intracranial hypertension. Understanding of the pathogenesis and clinical manifestations of CVO-related intracranial hypertension is useful for the early diagnosis and management of the narrowed central veins, thus achieving better neurological and visual prognoses of the patients.
