Abstract
【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the effect of on-line hemodiafiltration (HDF-OL) and the tolerance to treatment in the elderly patients. Methods 198 times of treatments of HDF-OL were performed on 15 elderly patients with hypertension, hypotension, arrhythmia, angina pectoris and refractory heart failure undergoing hemodialysis(HD). Results The clearances of β2-MG and iPTH were significantly improved by HDF-OL than those by HD; the tolerance to treatment of the patients were improved significantly when received HDF-OL; Furthermore, after HDF-OLtreatment, the times and days of admitting to hospital with secondary infections markedly decreased. Conclusion HDF-OL can provide a safe and effective method for the elderly patients with uremia. It will improve the tolerance to treatment of the eldly patients, decrease the incidences of hypertension, hypotension, arrhythmia, angina pectoris and heart failure during treatment, and improve the life quality of elderly patients.
