Abstract

Objective To study the influcence of hypoalbuminaemia on left ventricular construction and cardiac function in PD patients. Methods In this study ,echocardiography and cardiac function were performed in 20 PD patients. According to Devereux's formula, LV mass index (LVMI) was caculated. We did the stepwise regression analysis between patient's age,time of PD、Kt/V、Hb、TG、Tch、SA、nPCR、CRP、PTH、filtration volume of PD and EF、LVMI、E/A. We also did the linear regression analysis between systolic blood pressure and LVMI of these patients. The linear regression analysis between CRP, nPCR and SA were also performed. Results The incidence of LVH was 55%. EA<1 was 95%.Stepwise regression analysis showed that SA was significantly correlated with LVMI(γ2=0.3619, P=0.005). The age of patients was inversely correlated with E/A (γ2=0.58, P=0.0245). Linear regression analysis showed that systolic blood pressure was positively correlated with LVMI. CRP was negatively correlated with SA and n PCR was positively correlated with SA. The incidence of LVH was 73% in the patients whose serum albumin was less than 30 g/L.It was higher than that of patients whose serum albumin was more than 30g/L. The impairment of diastolic function of left ventricular in former group was more than that of latter group. Conclusion The incidence of LVH was high. Hypoalbuminaemia was one of the risk factors in PD patients.
