Objective Observing the influence of angiotensin II on human renal interstitial fibroblast(HRIF) proliferation. Investigating the role of angiotensin II in the progress of kidney prolifrative diseases at the cell level. Methods Separated and cultured renal interstitial fibroblast were identified. To observe the effect of angiotensin II on the cell cycle and DNA synthesis of HRIF and the inhibitive effect of Losartan, the 3 H-TDR incorporation, flowcytometry and immunohistochemical technique were applied. Result ① Angiotensin II (10-10M~10-6M) has elevated the incorporation rate of HRIF 3H-TDR and has showed dose-dependence in day 1 and day 3 (γ1=0.709 P<0.010;γ3=0.806,P<0.010). ②Angiotensin II (10-8M~10-5M) has markly promoted the transformaion of HRIF from G1 stage to S stage (P<0.010). Conclusion. AgII can induce the proliferation of HRIF directly.
