Objective To evaluate the effect of high volu me hemofiltration (HVHF) on hemodynamics of patients with multiple organ dysfun ction syndrome (MODS). Methods Eleven patients with MODS were selected and treat ed with HVHF, Heart rate (HR), mean arterial pressure (MAP) and central venous pressure(CVP)were measured at 0,4h,8h,12h following HVHF. Hemodynamics were me asured or calculated at scheduled intervals by using IQ non-invasive hemodyna mics monitor. Results Heart rate(HR)and central venous pressure (CV P)decreased(P<0.05) and mean arterial pressure increased signif icantly ( P<0.05). Cardiac output(CO), ejection fraction (EF), cardiac index (CI), left cardiac work index (LCWI), systemic vascular resistance(SVRI)incre ased significantly. Conclusions HVHF could improve the hemodynamics of patients with MODS.
