Objective To evaluate the character of ambulatory blood pressure(ABP) in chronic renal failure patients with different degree of casual blood pressure. Methods Seventy-five uremic patients administreated with or without antihypertensive were divided into four groups from normal to the third degree hypertension according to various casual blood pressure. All patients underwent 24 hours monitoring of ABP. Results The ABP levels of all four groups increased with the inoreasing of CBP level and the ABP level of each group were lower than CBP lower than CBP Levelrespectively. The average 24h ABP, average daytime ABP and average night-time ABP of four blood pressure level group significantly different. By the increasing of blood pressure, the load of blood pressure were simultaneously increasing, especially in the night-time. Among the 6 patients who had normal Bp without taking any antihypertensive drugs, the circadian rhythin of Bp of 5 cases disappeared or weakened,4 cases had abnormal Bp load, the ABP or 2 cases in creased. The circadian rhythin of Bp of 64 patients disappeared of weakened. Conclusions The ABP were positively related to the CBP in uremic patients. The charactenstic of ABP in hgpertensine uremic patients was similar to primary hypertension. More study should be put into practice in those normaltensive uremic patients with abnormal changes of ABPF.
