Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of hemoperfusion (HP) combined with highly permeability dialysis(HPD) in treating severe hepatitis. Methods Twenty-two patients were selected as treating group and 23 patients as control group randomly. Both of them were treated with routine methods whereas the treating group was given HP combined with HPD. Results The serum bilirubin, ammonia, creatinine and urea nitrogen decreased greatly in the treating group (P＜0.01). The effective rate in the treating group was higher than that in the control group (63.6% vs 21.7%, P ＜0.01), and the effective rate on chronic hepatitis gravis in early stage, middle stage and late stage were 100%、60%、0% respectively. Conclusion Complex treatment with HP and HPD can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and the biochemical indicators. It can also increase the survival rate. It is more suitable to use HP and HPD in treating early and middle stage of severe hepatitis.
