Abstract

Objective To observe 596 uremia patients's arteriovenous siftula (AVF) anasto-mosed by 2.5mm or 3.0 mm titanium staples in our department in the recent 14 years.To find which titanium staples were suitable. Method AVF were anastomosed by 2.5 or 3.0 titanium staples randomly, the maturation, blood flow, diameter, and life time of AVF were observed, the structure and function of left heartmere measured by colour doppler. Result There was no remarkable difference between two groups. The differences of blood flow, diameter and the of left structure and function were significant. Conclusion 2.5mm titanium staples is recom-mendable in arteriovenous anastomosis for its long lifetime and less side-effect to heart.
