Objective To study the clinical significance of changes of C-reative protein(CRP). Methods Their CRP,Serum creatinine(SCr), albumin(ALB), Hemoglobin(Hb) were measured twenty-one maintenance hemodialysis patients and 18 normal controls were investigated. Results There were significant difference (P<0.05) of serum AlB and Hb between normal CRP patients and abnormal CRP patients before CRP patients before hemodialysis. The level of serum CRP increased after hemodialysis. The difference of CRP level before and after hemodialysis was significant (P<0.05). Negative correlation was found between the levels of CRP and ALB and Hb after hemodialysis ( P＜0.05). Conclusion The increasing CRP levels resulted in inflammatory state of uremia patients and that played a role in the occurance of malnutrition and anemia of maintenance hemodialysis patients. The increasing of CRP level and inflammatory reaction are correlated with some factors of hemodialysis and patients such as infection, nutrtional status etc.
