Abstract: Objective To establish a method for the determination of several trace elements in dialysis water. Methods Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was applied to determine trace elements in dialysis water by using Rh and Ir as internal references. Results The experimental results showed that this method had a broad linear range and high sensitivity with the linear correlation coefficients greater than 0.999. The relative standard deviations were in the range of 1.28% 5.69%, and the recoveries of added standards were in the range of 97.4%~100.9%. Conclusion This method is sensitive, rapid and accurate, useful for the strong assurance for dialysis water quality.
