Abstract: 【Abstract】Objective To explore the mediating effects of experiential avoidance in the posttraumatic growth, self-consistency and congruence in order to search for effective methods to positively cope with traumas in hemodialysis patients. Methods A total of 292 hemodialysis patients in our hospital were recruited and assessed by Post- traumatic Growth Inventory, Acceptance Action Questionnaire, and Self Consistency and Congruence Scale. SPSS 17.0 software was used to process the data. Result Experiential avoidance mediated the relationship between self consistency and posttraumatic growth, and the value of mediating effect was 43.16%. Conclusion Transforming the experiential avoidance and improving the self consistency and congruence level may be the effective methods to increase posttraumatic growth in hemodialysis patients.
