Abstract: The incidence of syphilis has gradually increased in recent years, laboratory test is important for the correct diagnosis of syphilis .This paper has reviewed the clinical characteristics and laboratory test progress in syphilis diagnosis, especially in Nontreponemal tests and treponemal tests for syphilis infection diagnosis
and laboratory test results interpretation for clinical use.
