The effect of arteriovenous fistula establishment on cardiac function in patients with end-stage renal disease

摘要： 自体动静脉内瘘(arteriovenous fistula,AVF)是维持性血液透析患者首选的血管通路。然而，终末期肾病(end-stage renal disease,ESRD)患者的心血管事件的发生率较高，心血管疾病是ESRD患者首要的死亡原因。AVF的建立引起心血管系统出现显著的血流动力学改变，导致心脏的结构和功能发生变化，进而影响患者的生活质量和生存率。因此了解AVF对心脏的影响，可为AVF相关的心脏并发症的预防和治疗提供理论依据。本文就AVF的建立对ESRD患者心脏的影响做一综述。

Abstract: Autogenous arteriovenous fistula (AVF) is the preferred vascular access method with higher dialysis efficiency for maintenance hemodialysis patients. However, many patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) are complicated with cardiovascular events, which is the leading cause of mortality in this population. The establishment of an AVF induces significant hemodynamic changes in cardiovascular system and structural and functional remodeling of the heart, which may adversely affect the quality of life and survival of the patients. Therefore, elucidating the impact of AVF on cardiac function can provide theoretical bases for prevention and management of AVF-associated cardiac complications. This review summarizes the effect of AVF establishment on cardiac function in ESRD patients.
